International Women’s Day: Meet 3 of our Incredible HOMEtainers

At HOMETAINMENT we’re very lucky to work with such talented, creative and strong women both in the HOMETAINMENT HQ team and our HOMEtainer team. To celebrate International Women’s Day we caught up with three HOMEtainers: chef Lara, opera singer Bronwen and sommelier Fleur. 

HOMEtainer Opera Singer Bronwen

Professional opera singer, HOMEtainer Bronwen has performed in concert, on stage and at private events around the UK and across Europe. And now she can bring the thrill of a live opera performance to your HOME or garden and add an air of luxury to your party. 

What inspired you to get into this industry? 

From the age of 5 years old I’ve wanted to be an opera singer. I love bringing the drama, stories, character and music to life in live performances. In particular I like the kind of up close and personal experiences I can offer HOMETAINMENT customers. Sharing the power and emotion of some of the greatest opera moments and creating an experience which is unique every time gives me so much energy and satisfaction.

Can you tell us about one of the best moments in your career?

‍The power of music to move people is incredible. I’ve been lucky enough to have many occasions when my performance has moved a person to tears, or evoked a special memory for them.

HOMEtainer Chef Lara 

Lara started her culinary journal at 14 and has worked everywhere from modest cafes through to the two Michelin starred Claude Bosi at Bibendum. From cooking up an authentic Paella to her The Taste of Spain, chef Lara brings the most delicious feasts to your HOME. 

What is your favourite thing about the HOMETAINMENT platform? 

‍The variety of amazing talented people combined. The unity and team work in-between myself and each member of the app and the connection to the client . HOMETAINMENT gives a chance to meet wonderful new clients too.

What’s it like to be an entrepreneurial woman?

I always say ambitious  people are never satisfied, we’re constantly chasing on a “hamster wheel” and always looking onto the next thing. It’s a blessing and a curse. But it's the most fulfilling feeling in the world to achieve your goals. Never allowing the feeling of regret is key.

HOMetainer Sommelier, Fleur

Fleur’s philosophy when it comes to wine is that it should be fun, it should be about drinking what you like, not what you feel like you should be drinking, nor should learning about wine be arduous. Fleur’s unique experiences include how to start your own home cellar and cheese and wine pairing. 

What’s it like to be an entrepreneurial woman?

‍Inspiring even if sometimes challenging.

What advice would you give to someone wanting to enter your industry? 

Be passionate about what you do and you can achieve anything!
